Units will track the pin on the DA Form 2410--16 by listing the pin using the vendor part number.
Correction Procedures.
a. If the new retirement life for the vendor part number listed in 8b is exceeded, or if the vendor part
number can not be determined, remove IAW reference B, para 5.3, TM 1--1520--238--23, or IETM and replace
with an authorized pin. dispose of the discrepant parts IAW para 10d.
b. If the new retirement life for the vendor part number listed in 8b is not exceeded, update the appropri-
ate historical records to reflect the new retirement life.
10. Supply/Parts and Disposition .
a. Parts Required. Items cited in para 7 may be required to replace defective items.
b. Requisitioning Instructions. Requisition replacement parts through normal supply channels using
normal supply procedures. All requisitions shall use project code (CC 57--59) "XCI" (X--Ray--Charlie--India).
NOTE
Project code "XCI" is required to track and establish a data base of stock fund expenditures in-
curred by the field as a result of this TB.
c. Bulk and Consumable Materials. N/A.
d. Disposition-- Demilitarize/Mutilate any part/component which does not meet inspection criteria.
e. Disposition of Hazardous Material. IAW Environmental Protection Agency directives as implement-
ed by your servicing Environmental Coordinator (AR 200--1).
11. Special Tools, Jigs and Fixtures Required. N/A.
a. Category of Maintenance. AVUM. Aircraft downtime will be charged to AVUM.
b. Estimated Time Required.
(1) To conduct visual inspection--
(a) Total of 0.5 man-hours using 1 person to inspect all 8 pins on one aircraft.
