OF TAIL ROTOR BLADES FOR ALL
AH-64 SERIES AIRCRAFT

This publication is effective until rescinded or superseded.
a. Aircraft in Use. Upon receipt of this Technical Bulletin (TB) make the following entry on DA Form
2408-13-1. Enter a red horizontal dash "" with the following statement: "Inspect tail rotor blades IAW TB
1-1520-238-20-127 prior to next flight, but NLT 10 June 2002." Clear the red horizontal dash "" when
the procedures IAW paragraph 8 and 9 are completed. Commanders who are unable to comply with the re-
quirements of this TB within the time frame specified will upgrade the affected aircraft status symbol to a red
"X".
b. Aircraft in Maintenance Facility.
(2) Aircraft at Contractor Facility. Boeing will inspect DD 250 aircraft prior to those aircraft depart-
ing for ferry to final destination

Aircraft in Transit.
NOTE
For aircraft away from home station, this TB authorizes a one time flight, with intermediate stops,
to return to the nearest secured maintenance facility/home station. If a 10X magnifier is not avail-
able, a closeup-visual inspection of the tail rotor blades will be completed every 2 flight hours. The
aircraft will be inspected IAW this TB upon arrival at the nearest secured maintenance facility/
home station.
This TB supersedes USAATCOM Safety of Flight 032300ZJun02 (AH-64-02-07).
