SECTION I. INTRODUCTION
1. Purpose. This bulletin was developed as a result of the heightened interest in the inspection, use and tightening of
metal fasteners. It includes selection and use of torque wrenches. The information contained in this bulletin will be
incorporated into new technical manuals as they are developed and into existing manuals as they are revised.
2. Scope. This bulletin applies to metal fasteners that are inspected or used in maintenance operations.
